This packet will be collected the morning of Friday, January 27^th, on day 7. This week we begin a new theme called Amazing Animals. Our story is Officer Buckle and Gloria. In the story a police dog name Gloria teaches students safety tips with the help of Officer Buckle. During spelling your child will be learning the /ar/ vowel sound as in car. Over this theme, students will focus on writing a research report and they will write several newspaper articles. Please read newspaper articles with your child at home and discuss how the articles answer the questions who, what, when, how, and why. Continue to work on memorization of addition and subtraction math facts. Students cannot advance in math until this memorization is accomplished. Thank you for you support.
