Battles School offers a secure, creative environment for student learning. All teachers are fully credentialed. There are interventions in place to support students that need extra help, and challenges are provided for students that need enrichment. Battles' 2009 API score is 762, state ranking of 5, and similar schools ranking of 9.
Approximately two-thirds of our students are English Language Learners, and one-third speak only English. We serve a diverse student body including children from India, Asia, and the Philippines.
Some of the extracurricular activities offered this year include Chess Club, Migrant Extended Day, Boys & Girls Club Flag Football League, Homework Clubs, Battle of the Books, and Rancho El Chorro Outdoor School (6th Grade Science Camp).
