Junior High Sports

Mission Statement

The SMBSD Junior High Sports mission is to build upon the inclusive foundation established in our elementary program by providing a supportive yet competitive environment where student-athletes can refine their sports fundamentals. We strive to foster continued athletic growth, advanced teamwork, and a deeper understanding of game strategy. Through positive coaching and healthy competition, we aim to instill resilience, elevated sportsmanship, and the experience and confidence necessary to empower every student-athlete to successfully pursue sports at the next level.

League Type

The SMBSD Junior High Sports Program is a developmental competitive league. Serving as a bridge between our elementary learning league and high school athletics, participants will continue to hone their fundamental skills and knowledge of the rules while applying them in a more competitive setting. The focus is to elevate the student-athletes' understanding of team strategies and competitive play, providing them with the vital game experience and confidence to set them up for future athletic success.
